Perry Wood

Back

On a lovely late summer day, Stevie led a party of walkers on a route from Perry Wood. The sun shone and we had big blue skies. Walking first through Perry Wood itself, then out and down through orchards to the village of Shottenden, via very pretty lanes and across fields in this lovely quiet corner of Kent. The fields were looking very autumnal. We saw some lovely horses including a pretty little foal. Returning to the woodland, we passed the Rose & Crown pub, then a steep but short climb brought us out onto the ridge for a walk along to 'the Pulpit', a splendid viewpoint, before returning to our cars. Thanks to Stevie and to Dave for back marking.
