We set off through the town and into the countryside. Just before noon we arrived at the front of Hole Park House to find the footpath blocked by period tents and a menacing looking rope. We had entered the French encampment of the Napoleonic Wars re-enactment Society. Photos were taken and after a time spent watching the battle, we set off to reach Rolvenden for lunch, albeit twenty minutes later than intended. As it was a hot day, it was good to find a shady seat in the churchyard to eat our lunch before setting off on the final leg of our journey. Thanks to Graham for leading, Andrew for back-marking.
