Back

A beautiful day, taking in apple and pear orchards where we had to fight our way through heavily laden branches. The tide was out, so we had excellent views of the mudflats and narrow channel into and out of Swale marina, with its interesting collection of yachts, narrow boats and barges. The boats/hulks rotting away in the ooze sadly couldn’t tell us what they were or where they’d been. We passed a solar panel farm, a field of hazelnuts, and many poly tunnels full of ripe and ripening strawberries. Finally, through fields of Suffolk rams and adjacent to yet more fruit. Thank you Kevin for leading and for the photos.
